  A Word From the Author:

  I have raised two awesome children of my own who I am extremely proud of. I have also helped raise over one hundred children through my in-home daycare. With the help of my husband, Mike, we've done it right!

  As I've said, we're so proud of our kids. They're polite, articulate and intelligent kids. All these qualities come from the way Mike and I chose to raise them. It was hard work and we've made our share of mistakes, but in the end it all worked out.

  I wrote Good Parenting Skills: 3 Keys to Successful Parenting because of the pride I have in my own kids and the comments I receive from both the parents of my kids' friends and the parents who come through my daycare. The parents of our kid's friends would say they really enjoy having our kids at their house to influence their own kids. Many of the parents in my daycare told me they liked having their children in my care because they wanted their children to grow up just like mine. Quite a compliment!
